Saturday 22nd August 2026 | Doors 7PM | 8PM Start
Join us for a night of sea shanties and toe-tapping Americana with The Salty Sirens and Dennis Duigan Duo.
Dennis Duigan picks, hacks and hollers his way through an upbeat mix of original tunes, folk favourites, and oldtime bangers. His lonesome warbles of broken love and dark nights of the soul are underpinned by a solid foundation of Americana infused roots-music. Live performances feature banjo, mandolin, and guitar, applied with an infectious enjoyment of the craft. Dennis is joined on stage by Bayden Mitchell slapping the upright bass, and bringing years of experience within the folk, jazz and Americana scenes in Brisbane and around Australia.
Lovers of swell sea shanties and rollicking singalongs, The Salty Sirens are Kristy "Capstan"field (vocals and accordion) and Elyse "Fish"patrick (vocals and whale facts). Since 2021, they have been rocking boats the country wide with their flavour of sea shanties, SHE shanties and sea songs with a modern, queer twist, and now these sapphic sailors are sailing into Ipswich to lead you on a musical journey through traditional and modern nautical folk song, tales of shipwork, daring adventure, defiance and debauchery on the high seas.
Hoist the anchor and limber up those sealegs - these really aren't your grandpa's sea shanties!
Buying presale is cheaper for you and helps the artists to plan their events.
