Celebrate pride month with us at Banshees for our Mardi Gras-Burg PARTY!!
Can't make it to the Queen's Ball? That's okay! Mardi Gras-Burg is all about bringing pride events to semi-regional communities around Ipswich — this is a night for us to have a ball of our own.
On June 20th, local queer performers take the stage for us to dance, connect, and party. With bands, a drag queen, and a DJ, this is sure to be a high-energy night full of colour and whimsy. Come celebrate all the best parts of your community in an outfit that feels authentically YOU.
Let's have a fabulous night!
Tara Zann will kick off our performances at 6:45pm with gusto and glamour! The world's first and only body building drag queen, this Brisbane beauty is bringing stunts, shenanigans, one-of-a-kind costumes, custom mixed music, and a flawless mug to boot.
Mitchell Duke is an emerging force in the next wave of pop storytellers. A singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist from Brisbane, Mitchell is carving out a space defined by raw emotion, haunting melodies, and a voice that cuts deep. Mitchell and his band recently made their Banshees debut, and the MGB crew fell in love with their energy instantly!
Shotgun Sam is hard riffin', smooth talkin', and way-too-fast-drivin'. Instead of playing with his world-famous blues band, Sam will be accompanied by new friends for this event, including MGB's vice president and drummer extraordinaire, Hazel! Get ready for high-octane blues chaos and rock-&-roll heat from this iconic Ipswich band.
Oi Nate is bringing the dance energy to elevate our night! Where would the queer party scene be without our beloved DJs? A Your Shot 2025 finalist and Ipswich-born icon, Oi Nate's bringing disco boogie beats and fresh house tunes for us to celebrate pride month with pizzazz.
