Banshees Bar presents Paul Kidney Experience (Melb) LP launch

Paul Kidney Experience began in the swampy underbelly of Melbourne in 2009. As a 100% improvised noise-rock collective, they have stayed true to their original intent ever since: the band's performances are never rehearsed, never planned, never discussed ahead of time, purely improvised.

With this approach, they have wowed audiences supporting Mudhoney (7 times), Thee Oh Sees, Damo Suzuki, Kim Salmon, Rocket Science, Penny Ikinger, Primitive Calculators, Grong Grong and many more.

Based around core members Paul Kidney, The Stab's Matt Gleeson, Baseball's Ben Butcher and Fraudband's Don Drum, they are augmented by long time members David Bulloch (percussion), Huich Goh (violin) and Declan Burgess (guitar).PKE have released 8 full length albums with all but 2 being sold out. One of these albums was with Krautrock legend Mani Neumeier (Guru Guru), two were split LPs with Japanese friends Acid Mothers Temple and Osaka's Buddhadatta. Now Paul Kidney Experience make only their second appearance in QLD in their 15 years of existence. They play Ipswich's Banshees with supports GRAVEL SAMWIDGE & KRONG.

With a Japanese tour coming up and having toured Sydney, Canberra, Adelaide, Melbourne and several places in between with the new LP, PKE is in tip-top form.Imagine Yoko Ono inhabiting Bon Scott's body out front of Amon Duul, then you are close to considering Paul Kidney Experience. - NOT TO BE MISSED!
