The Static Electric, We Live Outside and Sabre Siren

Three very different, but equally interesting bands are playing Banshees on November 6th. For the sake of all that is good in the world, open up your music-loving hearts and give them a go!

The Static Electric are a veritable amalgam of Brisbane music scene stalwarts with members treading the boards in bands such as The Melancholics, The Good Ship, Doubting Thomas, Darktown River, Lancaster and Kentucky Green. They got together with one focus in mind - to make the catchiest guitar pop they can, with songs that are a little bit grungey, a little bit jangly, a little bit indie and occasionally suspiciously 60s. This will be only their second show so catch them while you can before their inevitable rise to stadium rock and sell out world tours.

We Live Outside are an Indie rock band with shoegaze-adjacent guitar pop songs. With Brisbane’s electro-pop princess Sarah Stockholm on keys and the ridiculously talented Nikki Perry on drums, it’d be an intriguing band even if they didn’t have choruses for miles. Which they do. 

This will be their first Ipswich gig. 

Sabre Siren is a darkwave/pop/electro duo with dramatic/atmospheric female vocals and emotional/visceral guitar bringing forth mesmerising, electronic hope and heartbreak. Evoking a mysterious aesthetic, including a mannequin, a veil and a full bottle of wine to drown all that pains us in the night.
