The Distained are launching their debut studio album, exclusively at Banshees. The 9 track punk album will be played in full featuring its borderline crossover of punk and elements of thrash metal.

If you haven’t heard of The Distained they are four Ipswich high schoolers. In a brutal pursuit, with an energy and enthusiasm that is synonymous with youth, they have abolished age as a barrier while inciting neighbourly noise complaints with their border crossover of skatepunk, pushing into the realms of thrash. They command a spiteful authority over their music that is beyond their years, forging hard on their craft as to not disrespect or dishonour the genre. They are The Distained, disciples of Thrash and Destroy.

Support from awesome Ipswich and Brisbane acts FiFi and Exit Ploom.

Fifi is an awesome upcoming Brisbane solo musician full of awesome energy and songwriting which really reflects her nature and experiences as a teenager. It is an honour to have her opening the night with her insane talents.

Exit Ploom are an incredible Ipswich based (mostly) act. Their heavy music is sure to bring an intense energy to close the night and keep the adrenaline pumping and you on the edge of your seat. It is rad to once again have them on the lineup.
