Banshees Bar presents The Nation Two (Naarm) | Common Deers

Naarm/Melbourne power-chord couple The Nation Two play Tulmur/Ipswich for the first time, and their first time in Queensland since Sonic Masala Fest last year.

They've been playing around the country for the last 18 months, with some fantastic bands such as Chimers (NSW), Last Quokka and Baba Yaga (WA), Placement (SA), Budd (QLD/VIC), and great Naarm bands like Affordable Repayments, Snub and Thee Cha Cha Chas.

Their debut single "Read The Room" was self engineered/produced and mastered by the almighty Bob Weston in Chicago (who has worked from everyone from Nirvana to LCD Soundsystem, as well as being a member of Shellac).

Their sound recalls bands such as Ovlov and Happy Diving, as well as traces of Magic Dirt and Screamfeeder. They're also quite fond of Mario Kart.

Opening proceedings will be Meanjin band Common Deers, who come highly recommended and sound bloody great. They've been playing around for years, and Banshees have been wanting to get them back for a while. We're glad we could facilitate the reconnection of good humans!
