Danny Widdicombe & The Wand’rin’ Stars ‘One Note at a Time’ - Album Launch

See the multiple award-winning songwriter Danny Widdicombe return to his folk and country roots with his new band The Wand’rin’ Stars - following the release of his critically acclaimed sophomore album with Trichotomy (★★★★ The Australian). 

Danny’s new album, One Note at a Time, was recorded with The Wand’rin’ Stars, featuring Michel Rose on pedal steel (Slim Dusty, Troy Cassar-Daley, Sara Storer and more), Luke ‘Fiddleboy’ Moller on fiddle (Dolly Parton, Carrie Underwood, Kasey Chambers, and more), Brendan St Ledger on piano (Rene Geyer, Wendy Matthews and more), Gus Fenwick on bass (John Williamson, Troy Cassar-Daley, and more), and Doug Gallacher (Slim Dusty and many more).

One Note at a Time is the follow up to their single Blue Eyes Cryin’ in the Rain, which pays homage to the great Willie Nelson (out now through Futurfonic).

Recorded live in the studio at Alchemix in South Brisbane, the music captures a rare sense of spontaneity and musical connection — band members played the songs live in a circle, responding in real time. That same energy comes alive on stage, offering audiences a chance to experience this exciting new band as they share their songs and stories.
